Abstract

The issue of development in its various concepts is of great importance at the global level, especially in the recent period, as it has been noticed a growing international interest towards the need for sustainable development to reach a sustainable future, after the world was heading towards a group of potential human and environmental disasters, global warming, environmental deterioration, and increasing Population growth, poverty, loss of biodiversity, widespread desertification, and other environmental problems are inseparable from the problems of human well-being and from the process of economic development in general, as many of the current forms of development are limited to the environmental resources on which the world depends.
The close link between the environment and development led to the emergence of a concept of development called “sustainable development”, as the fourth principle approved by the Rio de Janeiro Conference in 1992 indicated that: “In order for sustainable development to be achieved, environmental protection should be an integral part of the development process and cannot be thought of in isolation.” about him.(1)
Also, solar energy projects aim to consume between 80 and 85% of the energy produced for local development, because the region will need in 2050 more energy than Western Europe consumes now, and it will need quantities of water within 3 times the size of the Nile River, and this does not It can only be obtained through the desalination of sea water.
