Abstract

With the spread of the idea of sustainable development in recent times, institutions around the world have become focused with establishing requirements and practices that will assist in achieving this goal. International organizations have called for the need for all institutions and people to join hands, locally and internationally, to achieve sustainable development. Museums are among one of the most important institutions in society through which sustainable development can be achieve. They play an important role in people's cultural, scientific and social lives. They are an important educational tool used to enhance the educational process through concrete and realistic experiences that prepare students in all academic levels. Beyond what a museum offers to students, it also offers programs and educational activities for all segments of society, a diverse audience in terms of culture, age group, and different social levels. Accordingly, this paper aims to know the role of museum learning and activities in achieving the environmental dimension of sustainable development from the viewpoint of those working at Museums internationally.
